Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do you charge for your one-on-one services

A: $2,000.00 per hour. Just kidding. I do not discuss fees until we meet in the exploratory session and the client has a better understanding of the work and the value it would bring to their lives. it would simply be inappropriate. I also have a limited number of spots available for "coaching" so I carefully interview my prospective clients--and like to give a full and complimentary exploratory session. When I say full, I mean up to 90 minutes at no charge to be sure we are a fit for each other.

What Would That Process Look Like?

A: We would have an initial chat on the phone to make sure there is good reason for us to work together--primarily my verification that I can help you achieve Your outcomes. If that seems to be the case, then we schedule a complimentary exploratory session. In that session we go into greater detail about what you want to achieve or resolve. I then talk about my approach and how it can assist you in your outcomes. At that point, we review an agreement and choose to work together--or choose not to. to see if we are a good fit for one another--that is, whether your outcomes are well served by my approach.heThen we discuss fees--which are actually quite reasonable, or so I am told.

Q: Why do you call yourself an Evolutionary Guide? Seems pretty strange--why not just call yourself a coach?

A: There are two answers to that. The primary answer is that if I said I were a coach, people would be misled--and they would also think they knew what I offered. The second reason is that, well, I am not a coach. "Evolutionary Guide" simply more accurately describes what I do better than the banal term "coach". To say I am a coach is a misrepresentation of the working model I have developed. In that vein, while accountability can be part of your relationship to me, ultimately what I do is assist you in not just gaining skill or knowledge, but also evolving your Self; evolving through empirically proven stages in two domains: ego and emotions. How you relate to your Self and how you relate to the events in your life. As you move through these stages you experience greater freedom, ease, self-assurance, increased flexibility, and dramatically shorter "bounce-back" times. Not to mention greater love, self acceptance, and increased efficacy in your results with others. Oh--and you are sustainably happier.

Q: Are you a licensed therapist

A: No. I am not a licensed California State mental health professional and do not provide psychotherapy, counseling, or any other mental health service that would require a license, nor do I hold myself out to provide such services. I provide consulting and educational services that often result in substantial learning, transformation, and the acceleration of your Personal Evolution.

Q: How is Personal Evolution different than Therapy?

A: Therapy is about diagnosis, classification, and often medicating. It is a problem and illness approach. Personal Evolution is about resolving past events, educating your mind to right thinking, and then deepening your Self. It is a solution approach. An educational approach. A: Coaches do great work. They push you to breakthroughs in your life, often with their wonderful structures of accountability. Coaches also typically work on a specific area of your life with you. However, pushing you to breakthrough results can actually create more internal dissonance and conflict resulting in greater dis-ease in the body and additional stress. Additionally, if they are not able to assist you in evolving your very core, you may continue to have the same nagging underlying patterns show up in different domains. An Evolutionary Guide works to assist you in evolving how you relate to your Self and the events in your life at a core level resolving internal dissonance, more elegantly and efficiently assisting you in achieving your outcomes while continuing to evolve and transcend.

Q: how is the healing you do different than "energy" healing, hypnosis, etc.?

A: An Evolutionary Guide involves the client in a conscious process--they are aware of what is happening and can learn precisely how to shift the structure of their subjective experience. Additionally, the goal of an Evolutionary Guide is to elevate the client to a state and condition of self-reliance, self-management, and through that ...self-trancendence such that when they are complete with the Personal Evolution package they no longer "need" a practitioner.

There is no mystery and no "magic" and you will be taught how I do everything I do--and if you do not see results from a particular type of intervention, we toss that approach. Nothing airy-fairy or woo-woo about it.

Q: Do you just go session by session like a therapist?

A: I do not do single sessions. Coming from an evolutionary model requires a larger commitment and greater depth of interaction. It is comprehensive. We are accelerating a process that, left alone, take s a person years to go through.

Q: Why is your longest agreement only 6 months? What if I want a longer agreement?

A: At the end of 6 months, provided you have kept pace with the required reading and completed the tasks, practices, and you should be fully equipped to handle whatever life may throw at you. Fully equipped to manage your own mind. To deepen your Self through whatever practice or path you desire. I am not interested in doing anything but getting my clients to a place of full self-reliance and self-sufficiency. That is not to say that something won't come up that suggests a small adjustment. A mental chiropractic visit, if you will. But largely, we are done at 6 months and you have the rest of your life to deepen and integrate your learnings.

In some cases where there was an especially traumatic past and/or the client wants to deepen their learnings from phase 2 and 3 of the Personal Evolution package, an extension package of 6-12 sessions is agreed to. However, this is the exception, not the rule.

However, Professional Evolution often takes longer, as there is far more to learn. While that agreement starts with 26 sessions, it often extends. In that case the client agrees to blocks of 4 sessions at a time, and refreshes their account as needed.

Q: Do you offer programs that are less than 26 sessions?

No, I do not. If you think about it, 26 hours is very little time, regardless of how it is spread out, to transform multiple contexts of your life. Every time I have tried it, the client is not served as comprehensively as they deserve.

Q: Do you work over the phone?

Yes. If you are geographically unavailable to meet in person, the entire program can be conducted over the phone. It does require your geographic

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: I do not accept insurance. I do not accept personal checks. I do accept: cash, cashier's checks, money orders, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. And again...all of this is addressed in the exploratory session

Q: Tell me about your money-back guarantee.

A: The guarantee currently only applies to the Coaching the Life Coach Apprentice Program. If, 60 days after completing the program, you are not completely satisfied with the value of the program, you can request a full refund and get it. It is conditioned on two points: 1) that you attended the monthly group intensives, did your assignments for the program, and engaged in your bi-weekly practice sessions; in other words, you participated fully, and 2) that you can look me in the eye and tell me you do not feel it was worth more than you paid for it. It is that simple--and we are that certain you will be stunned at the value in this program.

If you give a deposit and then for some reason think it is not right for you you will still need to wait 60 days after the pilot program to receive that refund. This is for reasons that serve the client that are gone over in detail in the Apprentice Program.

Q: Do you have a sliding scale or would you consider trade or barter for other services?

A: The short answer is: no. I simply do not engage with people who can not at least make the modest payments for these incredible services and products. I take credit cards. If you are that serious about transforming your life and your business, you can borrow the money from someone who believes in you and your future. There are many reasons for that. I wish I could help everyone. My heart goes out to them. That said, I do not do so just for my own self interest. After years of experimentation, I have found that in trade and barter situation, people simply do not relate to the work the same way--on both sides. Even with clients who refer dozens of people to me and make hundreds--if not thousands--of dollars through my referral program, I insist on exchanging checks and keeping it separate. We all get more out of the professional relationship--and the relationship is cleaner.

People who are not functional enough in their lives to afford these services as a matter of financial fact are probably deeply in need of Personal Evolution, and are also probably not ready for my approach. Most of my clients are highly functional and already largely satisfied and successful--but they want more for themselves. We just move them to fulfilled and thriving.
